Today for a Missionary Luncheon, I made 2 batches of Blondie Brownies...a favorite in our family. I am admitting that I don't like too much chocolate and prefer these to regular brownies...they are too rich. In fact, I love this time of year because I prefer caramel over chocolate any day and caramel is found so plentiful, but no caramel brownies for today!
2 cups flour
1 t baking powder
1/4 t baking soda
1/4 t salt
3/4 cup (1-1/2 sticks) butter, softened
1-1/2 packed light brown sugar
2 eggs
2 T milk
1 t vanilla extract
2 cups (12 oz bag) chocolate chips
Heat oven to 350 degrees and grease 9x13 pan.
Stir together dry ingredients and set aside.
In another bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, milk, and vanilla and beat well.
Gradually add dry ingredients, beating well.
Then stir in chocolate chips.
Then stir in chocolate chips.
Spread into pan and bake 30-35 minutes or until lightly brown.
Cool in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars! Enjoy!

I love these too!! They look so good and it is snack time. Good thing I am not there I could eat half the pan right now..
I run past your house every morning about 6:15am .... I'll stop in tomorrow and grab one if there are any extra's :)
Are you kidding me??? I have always loved these over chocolate brownies too!! As a kid they were one of my favorite treats besides carmel (butterscotch) sundaes. You know where I'm going with this....so you probably like SKOR bars too and butterfingers lol
