Drummer Boy spent Valentine's Day competing in a regional Foreign Language Festival. He has had 5 semesters of Spanish in school and won a 2nd place medal in Extemporaneous Speaking (describing a picture in Spanish). He also scored 90% in Extemporaneous Reading (reading paragraphs in Spanish). He participated in Spanish Vocabulary, but didn't place. He had fun and looks forward to participating in the State competition.

Good Job Christian!!! What a smartie.. Maybe you will go on a foreign mission to spanish speaking and it will come much easier than most because of all your hard work now. :)

Now there's ONE language I want to know how to communicate in. I had hoped our boys would go to Spanish speaking missions for that very reason. Oh well, Portuguese and French are good too, just not as prevalent in todays society.
