Saturday we watched the Weather Channel as Hurricane Ike made it through Texas. Our city's tornado sirens went off about 5pm Saturday afternoon...talk about panic...we were watching a movie and not local channels, so we switched over and Channel 4 said there was rotation at the fairgrounds...not very far from here, but even closer to Robert at work. Luckily all was well...each of us have a 72 hour kit in a backpack and are supposed to bring them to our designated area...the little square of an spot in the middle of our house. We had storms come through for about another hour. Then we tried to sleep as it roared through Arkansas early Sunday morning. We woke up at 7am from a phone call from Robert's mom...her power went out about 1:30am and it was still off, but ours was on. So we headed to church and there were quite a few people who were not there due to the scattered power outage.
This is how we found our front yard...
the yard with the most debris on the block.

And even a stick that was sticking straight into the ground!
The sun is out again, but finally feels like fall!!!
