This last month Mr. Chef's car power window broke...it wasn't the window...it was the power mechanism that broke...leaving the window in the door. This time of year, we weren't counting on this hiccup in our account, but had the funds to take care of it. Thanks Pro Auto!
Then on the way home, Mr. Chef had a tire blow. This is two days before Thanksgiving and everyone was at the tire store getting their cars travel-ready. Got the news that the tires Mr. Chef has on his vehicle are for off-road adventures and not for day-to-day driving. (We bought his car used two years ago.) So now we need to replace all the tires, and we cannot just get the one, so chose to just get the front two tires. Can you hear it?...CHA CHING!
Now for #3...our garage door spring broke and guess who had to scrape her car this morning! Not going to get it fixed for some time, but wished it had happened in May, not November. But on the up side...we have a place to put stuff while we have our Christmas tree up.
I am grateful that we have been scrimping and saving to take care of these emergencies. Just wish we didn't have our emergencies all at once...LOL!
Mickey had done well, leaving the tree alone since Friday...until yesterday. So we put a gate around it. I think it has something to do with Mr. Chef not being home yesterday. Mickey tends to behave better when he is around.
