Today was an awesome day to do some hiking: cloudy and low humidity, with the bonus of temperatures only reaching the mid 80's. So we made plans with our friends the Thompsons, to go to some trails on Petit Jean Mountain. We all had a good time! We went to the Bear Cave trail and then had a picnic lunch.
On our way home, we went to the Cedar Falls overlook
and Petit Jean's gravesite and breathtaking overlook.
And to make the day complete, we hit the pool!!

I love the trails at Petite Jean - such a pretty place. The temps have been more mild here as well...=fabulous!
Fun! I wanna come! I just told Joe, it's time for me to go play at the lake and do some hiking - as though we didn't 'hike' enough at camp ha ha. We took my mother and sister to Petit Jean last year during their visit and we all loved it even though it was fairly hot during our outing. Love the scenery around this area, it's so beautiful.
