Summer

Well, summer vacation started earlier for the Hall family this year. With Robert leaving the country for the duration of the kids out of school...we opted to take the kids out early and spend our last week with Robert at home.
The national company Robert works for (Aramark) is in charge of the food service for the Olympics and he put his name in the hat to go...assuming he wouldn't be picked. It may have been his mission to Brazil that clenched the deal, in that, he has lived outside the US for a time and is fluent in Portuguese, not to mention he's an awesome chef...I am not biased in anyway, LOL. (I hope he gets to use his foreign language skills while there.) What an awesome opportunity and addition to his resume'!! We will miss him dearly while he is gone, but are excited for him, too! Thank goodness for blogs, skype, and email!! Check out his blog from our link.
I am also excited because this is the first summer in five years that I will not be in school...so I can be in the pool with the kids, instead of reading a textbook from the sidelines. We plan on trips to the library, the tennis court, the bowling alley, as well as watching movies, gardening and spending time with family...more of a "stay-cation" as the news has defined as staying close to home during vacation.

You are so lucky to have your husband as a chef. Hey, don't get me wrong my husband can make some mean burritos (that is the frozen kind of wal-mart and you heat em up in the microwave). LOL

Hi there! I saw your name listed on Buffie's blog. How neat for Robert to be over there for the Olympics! I am sure he is going to have a great time. What an opportunity! We know about a Hot Summer...its been over 100 degrees here in Mesa. Good luck with Robert being gone.
