Watermelon Seeds

My girls once got sick on watermelon a few years ago, and haven't touched it since. So with just Christian and I to eat half a watermelon we got from my mom, we brought it to the Thompson's house to help us not let it go to waste. It tasted sooooo good and was nice and cool on a hot and muggy day.

They have a nice deck out back and I suggested that it might be a good place to have a watermelon seed spitting contest.

It was alot of fun...it was us older ones that really got serious about it. I didn't have lots of black seeds, but the white ones were easier to see as they fell.Wow, didn't know my cheeks could get that big! I hesitated to post this very non-flattering picture of me, but I become very competitive, even in a friendly contest.

I think Janae' won...she had lots of seeds! I find it ironic, though, that it was just us girls that participated in the contest. Thanks Thompsons...we always have fun with you!
